for using the site and deeds applications
Read our terms and conditions for using this site and for the use of DeedsWEB application.
    1. ACCEPTANCE
  • These conditions become effective when you access the site and constitute a binding agreement between us (Chief Registrar of Deeds) and yourself (subscriber), which will always prevail.

  • 2. ONLINE SERVICES
  • Our online product and service are subject to registration procedures and approvals, which we may accept or reject at our sole discretion. Accounts will be activated within 48 hours on receipt of registration fee and verification of details included with the following documents:

    • (a) Copy of identity document
    • (b) Proof of residence
    • (c) Three months statements of two credit references
    • (d) Banking details (copy of bank statement or cancelled cheque)
    • (a) Registration document (in case of CC/Company)
    • (b) Fidelity certificate (if applicable)
    • (c) Consent letter (in case of CC/Company), if it has more than one(1) Director

    3. PROVISION OF SERVICES
  • All information on this site is only intended to provide you with general information about us, our products, services and objectives.

  • 4. CHARGES
  • The charges are payable by the subscriber to Chief Registrar of Deeds for the provision or facilitation of the services which shall be stipulated in the schedule of fees as published in the Government Gazette from time to time and also available on this website.

  • 5. PAYMENT
  • These conditions become effective when you access the site and constitute a binding agreement between us (Chief Registrar of Deeds) and yourself (subscriber), which will always prevail.

    • 5.1. All payments must be effected within 30 (thirty) days of statement date.

    • 5.2. Should the subscriber send any money, cheques by means of the postal services, then the postal authority shall be deemed to be the agent of the subscriber and the subscriber shall bear all risk of loss, theft and delay in. The subscriber shall draw all trust cheques payable to "Chief Registrar of Deeds" and marked "Not Transferable".

    • 5.3. The subscriber agrees that payment shall only have been made to Chief Registrar of Deeds when the money remitted by the subscriber have been received in the Chief Registrar of Deeds' bank account.

    • 5.4. Should any form of payment be returned, unpaid, or stopped for whatsoever reason Chief Registrar of Deeds will exercise its right to suspend the provision of the services due to late or non-payment of any money due in terms hereof by the subscriber, then the subscriber shall pay an administration charge as may be levied by CRD from time to time for each such non-payment.

    • 5.5. All arrear payments shall attract the suspension of the service, interest on the outstanding amount and a reconnection fee. Activation of suspended accounts will be within 48 hours after receipt of payment and verification of details has been done.

    6. TRANSACTION LIMIT
  • Chief Registrar of Deeds shall be entitled in its sole and absolute discretion from time to time to determine and amend the transaction limit which may be used and/or accumulated by the subscriber during each period and the Chief Registrar of Deeds shall be entitled to suspend the services should the subscriber exceed such maximum amount.

  • 7. CANCELLATION
  • Any notice of termination or any other notice whatsoever by the subscriber to the Chief Registrar of Deeds shall be in writing, by post, and email. Termination of this agreement does not relieve the subscriber from the liability to pay charges for the initial period plus notice period.

  • 8. BREACH
  • Should the subscriber breach any provision of this agreement including failing to pay the Chief Registrar of Deeds any monies due in terms of hereof on due date, then the Chief Registrar of Deeds shall be entitled without prejudice to any of its other rights arising out of this agreement forthwith and without any liability towards the subscriber to suspend its provision to the subscriber of the services in whole or in part and/or to disconnect the subscriber from the service.

  • 9. GENERAL

    • 9.1. The subscriber hereby consents to Chief Registrar of Deeds conducting an investigation into the credit worthiness of the subscriber utilising the information contained on the face page, which information the subscriber warrants is true and correct, and such information forms the basis of this agreement. The subscriber agrees that should such information turn out not to be correct in all respects, Chief Registrar of Deeds shall be entitled immediately and without prejudice to any other rights that Chief Registrar of Deeds may have to terminate this agreement and the subscriber agrees to hold Chief Registrar of Deeds harmless in such an event.

    • 9.2. The subscriber agrees to supply Chief Registrar of Deeds with such information, documentation and signatures that Chief Registrar of Deeds may reasonably require at the time that this agreement is concluded, in order to give effect to the payment arrangements of this agreement. Any subsequent changes that affects the information supplied to Chief Registrar of Deeds such as bank account details must be brought to the immediate attention of Chief Registrar of Deeds. The subscriber agrees to hold Chief Registrar of Deeds harmless in the event of an error being made on any information handed to Chief Registrar of Deeds by the subscriber.
